Meet The Coaches

Oderah Chidom

is a professional basketball player with dual Nigerian and American nationality. A Duke University alumna, Chidom’s career highlights include representing Nigeria at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and winning a gold medal at the 2021 FIBA Women’s AfroBasket.

She has played for various international teams and has a plethora of international basketball experience. Known for her defensive skills and versatility, Chidom has excelled in leagues across Europe and Africa, earning accolades such as the 2020 Belarusian Championship MVP, 2023 First team all-France & 2024 Italian Center of the Year.

Amara Chidom

is a skilled basketball player and coach from Oakland, California, with deep roots in sports and youth development. As the co-founder of Elite Buckets Academy, she plays an integral role in developing young athletes, leveraging her extensive experience in basketball. Amara played collegiate basketball for Pomona Pitzer, where she had the most winning seasons in her freshman year and served as a three-year captain.

In addition to her coaching career, Amara has a background in environmental sustainability and biology, blending her love for sports with a commitment to impactful community work. Her leadership in Elite Buckets Academy reflects her passion for empowering young athletes through mentorship, training, and international outreach, creating lasting opportunities for growth in sports.

Arinze Chidom

is a 6’9” forward from Oakland, California, recognized for his versatility and high basketball IQ. He played collegiate basketball at Washington State University before transferring to UC Riverside, where he averaged 12.9 points and 5.3 rebounds per game in his senior year.

Professionally, Chidom has played in international leagues, including in Mexico’s LNBP with El Calor de Cancun and most recently with Górnik Trans.eu Wałbrzych in Poland, where he averaged 15.4 points and 8.1 rebounds per game in the 2022-2023 season. In 2023, he was drafted to the Santa Cruz Warriors, the NBA G League affiliate of the Golden State Warriors, marking a major step in his career. His notable career highlights include a career-high 26 points and a standout performance with 13 rebounds in Poland.

Kyra Lambert

is a Texas native and current professional basketball player. During her collegiate career, she attended Duke University, obtaining both her Bachelors and Masters degrees. In her final college season, Kyra went home to the University of Texas and gained a second Masters degree while going to the Elite Eight in the NCAA Tournament.

In her 4th year playing professionally, the game of basketball has taken her across the world. From the heart of Europe to the picturesque landscapes of Oceania, Kyra has been blessed to play in 7 different countries including Turkey, Slovakia, New Zealand, France, Latvia, Mexico, and now Greece.

Looking ahead, Kyra is excited to continue experiencing the world and generating a lasting impact. She has always known the game of basketball to be a vehicle for growth, connection, and creating positive change. Through community service, clinics, and mentorship sessions, Kyra has poured into youth on a variety of levels. Her impact goes beyond what she has accomplished on the court, exemplified by her heart to serve others and inspire the next generation. In her pursuit of excellence, Kyra strives to inspire others to dream big, trust the process, and embrace their journeys.
